University of California Hastings College of the Law is a public, coeducational, full-time law school in downtown San Francisco. We are one of the top-rated law schools in the United States.
Hastings was founded in 1878 as the first law department of the University of California and is one of the most exciting and vibrant legal education centers in the nation. Our faculty are nationally renowned as both teachers and scholars.
Our electives offer many opportunities:

- concentrations for advanced study in taxation, litigation, international and comparative law, and public interest law
- opportunities to work on scholarly journal publications
- a moot court training program that regularly produces national championship teams for appellate advocacy competitions throughout the United States
